We recommend it for children between 0 and 9. The stories are retold in short, gentle language made for reading aloud, so it works as a first Bible for a baby and as a bedtime read for a school-age child.

It depends on how many stories you choose: 32 pages with two stories, 46 with three, 60 with four, or 74 with all five, at 6 by 9 inches. Every scene gets a full-page illustration, 12, 18, 24 or 30 in all, and your child appears in every one.

Each book follows one child, so twins and siblings each get their own. Each story reads the same in every copy, and the cover and artwork are built from that child's own name and photo, so each book still belongs unmistakably to them.
